The services provided within the settlement agreement are hubbing services i.e. services of terminating calls in the networks of foreign operators generated within TP S.A. telecommunications traffic. The settlement shall set off mutual debts of the Parties, the existence of which the Parties acknowledged at the conclusion of the Settlement. By signing the settlement, the Parties undertake to carry all the necessary acts to conclude all the administrative proceedings pending before the President of the Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) and appeal proceedings against the decisions entered into by the President of the Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) and to discontinue proceedings pending before commercial courts. Marcin Kubit – the President of the Management Board of Mediatel S.A. – said : „In our view, the settlement is a significant success of Mediatel, as it will protect the company against any further potential claims of TP that might have been raised in long-term disputes, yet it first of all opens the chance for the cooperation with TP as a partner in a number of fields, in which such cooperation prior to the conclusion of the Settlement had not been possible.” Moreover, by virtue of the settlement provisions, the Parties concluded a comprehensive Agreement of Network Interconnection with Telekomunikacja Polska S.A. which regulates the interoperator relations between the two companies.

The editorial team reviewing the financial results of listed companies in the 3rd quarter of the year gave recognition to those companies which proved resistant to the bear market trends. Apart from the results, another important criterion in selecting the winners was the analysis of the market response to the reports and prognoses presented by the respective WSA listed companies. Puls Biznesu recognized Mediatel: "The Company showed great dynamics of profit and significant increase in the stock exchange quotation" – said the magazine. It was noted down that only at the date of publication of the statement for the 3rd quarter of 2008, the share price increased by several dozen percent. - This shows the increasing trust the stock exchange investors put into the Company and their positive view of Mediatel S.A. "It was a difficult but very good mid-year for the Company and the Capital Group, which was formally constituted in June, following the merger with Elterix Holding. We have executed all the adopted plans and thanks to the consistent implementation of the strategy and consumption we have reached great financial result. First of all, we have succeeded in increasing the company goodwill, which now is 80 million PLN, only 6 months ago it was just a bit over 30 million" - summed up Marcin Kubit, the President of the Management Board of Mediatel S.A.

 

„With respect to the operations, we have significantly improved our position on the market of wholesale services provided for telecommunications operators and we have become one of the leaders in the international exchange of calls. We started our operations as the virtual mobile operator, commencing the operations on the retail market. Up to now, the consolidation process of the acquired companies is running smoothly, thus we can view our future optimistically. I'm sure that the next months of 2008 shall be even more successful for the Company, thus the process of reorganization of a small wholesale operator into one of the major companies on the telecommunications market shall prove a success.” - added Marcin Kubit. At the end of the 2nd quarter of 2008, EBIDTA index was 3.577 million PLN with respect to Mediatel Capital Group, this was the best result then ever before (a year earlier it was -495,000 PLN). Net profit in the 2nd quarter of 2008 amounted to 2.055 million PLN (as compared to the 2nd quarter of 2007 when the loss was -705,000 PLN).
